Where's mine? [ Matt gives Lucy a look, before she gestures back the way she came anf gives him an 'i'm not your slave' look. ]

Okay don't go far. Especially you, Picasso. Or... whoever the good ones are.

[ He shoots Nate a grin before he heads off to find drink and food, someone said there was food, right? ]

[It's the grin that always gets him, even if he doesn't realize it. Nathan can't help but smile in return. The sort of smile that makes you stand up a little straighter and pay attention. His gaze lingers on Matt as he leaves, not thinking anything of it.]

[ Lucy's looking at Nathan, having a bit of her wine. She sees that look and... has to check for a second that he's still looking over towards Matt, before her eyes turn sharply back to Nathan. ]

[He blinks, looking over at her, concerned.]

Give me a bit of respect, Nathan. What's going on? B[ ecause why is he so eager to deny a crush? It's fine to crush on Matt, he's hot. Maybe not helpful, but fine. ]

Oh shit. [ This calls for putting a hand to his arm and leading him to a corner of the room so they aren't quite in front of people. ]

[ She turns her head back, to make sure Matt isn't coming back. But if he does, she won't have any issue in telling him to piss off a bit. ]

[He pushes one hand into his hair and shakes his head.]

Hard to say. A while, though. Back before the halls were fixed.

[ She lets that sink a minute, and it strikes her just how hard it must be for Nathan... probably literally at times. ]

Does he know? Have you told him how you feel?

What that he's a bigoted prick sometimes? You can't just go on like that though. It must be driving you crazy.

It's fine. I'm fine. [He says it quickly, glancing over to check to see if he's wandering back yet.] Seriously. It's not a big deal. I'm sure it'll... fade or something. If he finds out, he won't-- he won't get it. It'll make everything weird, won't it? He's my best mate. I'm not going to risk that for some stupid feeling that I shouldn't be feeling in the first place.

Nathan you're moving in with each other. You have to tell him. You can't just make yourself get over him. Not if you're.. [ she drops to a whisper. ] In love with him.

If he gets weird then that's his problem. But if he doesn't understand then maybe he's not the friend you thought he was.
