[Even though he knows that the cottage is in the middle of nowhere, turning away from the city as it gets later just makes him a little nervous. They definitely should have left earlier.]

I know I should have forked out for an earlier flight back. [ But no, he needed the cheap later one that got back to a stupid far away airport. Stupid money. ]

And here's me thinking you just wanted to get me away for a romantic little getaway.

Look it's not my fault they bore me to sleep. Get something with a bit of action, then maybe we'll be in business. I see you watching any of that shit while we're away I'm turning the electric off. You'll have to entertain yourself in other ways.

I'm not sure this place we're going to even has a television, honestly. Guess we'll be stuck entertaining each other.

You know what I thought I might give a go while we're there though? Composing. Think I might try and write something.
